Question

Supplier Banking Info - controls

Forum|alt.badge.img+3

Hi,

We are trying to see if there are any out of the box controls surrounding changes that are made to (supplier banking information) that go beyond permission sets.

Location: Application Base Setup > Enterprise > Supplier > Supplier (payment tab) --> Right mouse button (Supplier banking details..)

Given this is an area of risk i.e a user with access changing supplier details to their own, we want to know what mitigating controls are available.

THanks

Hi,

We would commonly recommend history tracking on that screen. From that event server can trigger the notifications when records are changed.

Furthermore, restrict access such that you can create the appropriate segregation of duties.

Best regards,

Thomas

Hi Thomas,

how can we authorize access of tabs payment to only Finance team and restrict the access of tabs payment of suppliers for Procurement Teams  in IFS Cloud ?

Regards

Audrey

@AudreyV in IFS Cloud, this can be handled by using contexts. You can create some Page Configurations / Navigator Configs to hide the PAyment page for the suppliers and publish those changes to a context.

Then in Context Mapping you need to make sure that Procurement team is assigned the custom context whereas Finance team will stay with global context. This could be done by using different usergroups for each dept.

@samulofl for one customer, aside from setting up history logging, they also asked me to create an event action to trigger an email to the Finance team every time someone created/updated the supplier bank details.
