Question

Warehouse management - create count report

Forum|alt.badge.img+8

Hello,

There are several report parameters when creating a new count report in IFS.

Maybe I missed one, but is there a way to create a inventory count report for ONLY inventory parts with qty on hand > 0?

In other words, only parts that currently have inventory quantity on hand.  Right now, the report gives you all parts, even ones with 0 qty.

Thanks,

Mark

Create Count Report doesn’t have a selection for Min inventory quantity, but does have one for Max inventory quantity.

As a best practice you should be looking for all parts when performing a cycle count, even if the system thinks the qty is zero (or less).  What if you had an item with negative on hand, your request would exclude it from the report.

Thanks Glen, Yes, I do understand the best practices - just didn’t know if there a way to do this or not.  From what I can see and your response, there is not.

It would be nice to have a min inventory quantity option though.

Thanks, Mark

Hi Mark, this limitation is commonly worked around by running the ‘Cleanup of Inventory’ batch job 1 day prior to creating the count reports.

Regards, Roel
