e.g. I would like to create a new context for creating material requisitions where the user is only allowed to select parts from a limited list of part numbers. i.e. only allowed to select parts connected to a certain product family or commodity group.

yes this is somewhat possible, but not using Page Designer. You can do it just with a saved search. But you may need to add a custom field to use in the saved search.
Initial situation:many parts available
Make a saved search to restrict the part numbers
Make this search the default open behaviour
Then: this filter on part numbers will apply by default when the person opens this Assistant.
+24As with the similar capability in IEE, the user can still choose a “wrong” part if they clear the search and populate the list.
+24Aurena Page Designer does not offer any capabilities in this area, without some development work (code changes).
