Is there a manual to setup Absence request in Aurena. I want employees to register their leave request through Aurena, and the same getting approved by Department head and HR.

Have you already used the absence functionality in IEE? for ex, my absence calendar?
If so, you can use the My absence calendar in Aurena as the same way.

Absence requests and approval is standard functionality.
You would need to configure the absence group, types and the make sure that you have the correct reporting lines set up in the position structure.
As standard there are three states to an absence request, registered, confirmed approved.
if you are wanting a three step process, employee, department head then HR, I would recommend that you have the employee ‘registering’ the request, this will be in the standard attribute and access role for self service.
You would then need to create a confirm attribute for the department head access role and attach the approve attribute to the HR access role
