I’m setting up a BA report (or SSRS report), but users want to see invoice details and have a link that leads them back to the invoice screen (or opens up the PDF attached to the invoice). Is there a way to do this from a BA report or SSRS report? What does that link setup look like and what are the dependencies?

There functionality in Business Reporter for Zooming and Drill Down. Please check on that. I am not sure whether it is available for Invoices. I know that for GL Balance it is possible to go to vouchers.

Yes, it is relevant in apps9 version as well. Enabling zoom in and drill-down options in BA client is pretty straight forward.
You can enable this in design mode.
Select on the display item that you need to zoom-in or Drill-down.
Go to ‘Zoom’ or ‘Drill-down’ tabs in Document action pane.
Check the box ‘Enable zoom-in’ or ‘Enable Drill Down’.
Select the fields that you need to display when zoom-in or Drill down.
Run the report.
Right click on a cell that you enabled above options.
Click on Zoom In or Drill Down.
This will lead you to another excel sheet with details.
If you selected Drill-down option and when the new sheet is open, you can right click on the lines and it has two options to select as below which will lead you back to IFS applications.
