Hi IFS community, my first post here  :0)   Getting acquainted with PSO, and wondering how organisations manage the (higher than batch sched) frequency of re assignment of appointments on the day of service ?  Best regards

PSO always has done continual optimisation - that is one of it’s strengths. The activities will not be re-assigned if they have been committed - in practice this is when the activity has been sent to the technician. So the question is when and how many jobs should be committed?

Best practice is to “drip feed” one job at a time - this gives maximum flexibility to the scheduling and means new work can be incorporated in the schedule automatically. The triggering of the drip feed should be the technician logging on.

More activities can be committed and work can be sent at other times - this is all controlled by the “dispatch rules”
