Can someone help me understand the following with respect to IFS Apps 10 in regards to Replication:

  • Is unbundling of replication message bundle provided as a standard feature in IFS10?
  • Can Oracle WebLogic handle incoming messages in onshore (thus avoiding to use separate Oracle Services to handle incoming messages from each Rig)?.
    • Understand that using multiple Oracle services to handle incoming messages from each Rig reduces the overall Oracle DB performance

Hi ProSriniA,

1. NO. Unbundling is not part of Apps 10 implementation. Apps 10 uses a much faster and less resource intensive approach.

2. IFS do not use the separate services approach in Apps 10. We still have the queues but they run in the MWS cluster.

Hope this information helps you.

Best Regards,

Thilanka
