Greetings.

Project Connected Work Orders will be used.

I want to know whether standard application (Apps 10 UPD 15) supports project budget control on Work Order Transaction like Time reporting cost and material issues based on Project budget defined on Cost/Revenue Elements. I have tested the scenario, planned cost does not get loaded on the project activity and once the GL is updated the cost gets updated as Used cost directly once work task transactions are authorized and transferred. The requirement is to control the cost at Time Reporting stage initially without configuration/modification.

In below screenshot budget for internal labour cost element (3000) is 5000, where as application allows excessive time reporting of value 11380.

Note: Project Time reporting functionality is not required.

Below is F1 Documentation which says planned cost will not be updated onto project but will be held by work order only. Planned Committed stage, only hours will be updated on project activity and not cost as per my observation upon work order release.
