Dear all,

Any ideas how a project manager can disapprove a project transaction, with the result the employee created this transaction will be informed to update or change the transaction.

Kind regards,

Vincent Heijmer

Hi Vincent,

I can give you a very short answer and that it is not possible to disapprove the project transactions by the project manager. It is only possible to approve the project transaction for cost accounting.

However there are some directions to investigate that can provided you to a possible solution.

There a three possible direction to go:

  • First direction is to have a company policy/process in place where the project manager can reach out to the employee and his supervisor to let him know to change or update the project transaction. Time is the essence here, because it needs to be done before the attendance and job time will be approved by the supervisor. This policy/process will possibly outside of IFS.
  • Second direction is to create a employee group for the specific project where the project manager has rights in the HCM module to approve the time registration of the employees that are associated with the project. Keep in mind that the project manager then also have the ability to approve the attendance of the employees that are connected to the group and it is not limited to only the registration to the project, but the project manager sees the total time sheet of the employees.
  • Third direction is to have a CRIM developed that makes it possible to disapprove the project transactions and send-out a notification to the employee and his supervisor to change/update the project transactions before approving his attendance.

Kind Regards,

Dennis
