We are mid way through a company by company implementation, which has being focused on European countries(where units of measurement are metric). Our next implementation will be in a USA located manufacturing company where the units of measurement are imperial. Ideally we like to use the same tech classes across the group of companies but we are unsure as to how we could do this in IFS if at all. We use UoM’s in our tech class’s as well as in the part basic data screens. We are investigating if there is a tool in the system(Apps 9) that we can use that will process the conversions for us. We would like to be able to use the same data that is already in the tech class/part basic data area’s of the system in our US facility. We are looking at the Unit Relationships screen as a possible tool to use, but have not yet explored its functionality. See below screen grab
