Hi Community,

One of IFS customer is experiencing an issue that when they perform site MRP, it does not create supplies for seval random parts. But when they re-perform site MRP without any changes, then the system will make supplies for those parts but without creating supplies for several other parts.

But selective MRP for the part always creates supplies as expected.

What can be the reason for this?

Your suggestions would be really appreciated.

Thank you,

Nimesha

Hi Nimesha,

Results from Site MRP run should be consistence in generic business case. Selective MRP is a light version of Site MRP designed to perform MRP for a Part or part selection considering Planner, department, production line etc. So if it works correctly and Site MRP gives inconsistence results then this sounds like an technical issue which needed to investigate further.

For this concern if the issue is re-creatable you can raise this as a support issue in Manufacturing queue.

Thanks!

Best Regards,

Lakshan

Check the MRP parameters and settings in IFS. Ensure that the MRP run for the site is configured correctly, including the planning horizon, safety stock levels, reorder points, lead times, and lot-sizing methods. Incorrect settings can result in unpredictable supply generation.

Hi,

One more thing to look in addition to the above answers is, Uncheck the flag Stop MRP on error. Then see the results. if the result is consistent in this case, then it would be an issue with some parts, which made MRP to stop at a certain point earlier.

Thanks very much you  all!
