We use the Shop Order Requisition Release screen to create shop orders. There is a “Comp Qty Req” field within the Component Availability section (that is calculated after using the “Calculation Component Availability” button). This works for us on a per-shop-order-basis. However…

Is there a way to see “Comp Qty Req” for multiple Shop Order Reqs at once?

Extra Info: We purchase some required raw material after the orders have been released. We would like to see the total “Comp Qty Req” for the 50+ orders we plan to] release at a time. Currently we have to look at each requisition and record the “Comp Qty Req” and add them all together.

@dtaranto It sounds like Bottom Up Planning in MRP.

There can be minor requirements in your process but can you please check if this works?

Query for the part in window - Supply Chain Planning\Material Requirements Planning\MRP Part Information

Select the top part from the navigator and check the Bottom Up Planning tab.

You can use the Order Ref column to sort the required requisitions and then the Demand Quantity to get the required numbers.

Hope this helps and hope others will add others approaches too !

Hello,

Are you interested in the exploded demand quantities for the purchased parts? And/or are you interested in the MRP lot sized supply quantities that is sort of result of the exploded demand quantities.

And do really really need to start with the SO Req numbers or is it fine to use a “start date” date interval or a “required date” date interval?

Anyway the Shop Order Req release screen does not have this feature

But perhaps you can try out the MRP Open Supply Demand Orders page.

If you for example provide a semicolon separeted list for you Shop Order Req’s numbers in the Order Ref search column OR use a date intervall search, you could hopefully filter out the demand- and/or supply plan for your required purchase components.

And, remember you can query on Part Type here as well, and there are some other interesting columns to filter on/sort by here...

Hope it helps
