Shop Floor Workbench - User does not have access to the employee
Shop Floor Workbench Company Details: Use Emloyee Labor Cost; TRUE Site/Shop Floor Reporting/Direct Labor; Use Employee Cost
Labor Class: Exist Standard Cost: Exist Salary based rate: not defined
We receive the error USERXXX does not have access to the employee. We thought the standrd cost would be picked?

(Company Details: Use Emloyee Labor Cost; TRUE Site/Shop Floor Reporting/Direct Labor; Use Shop Order Operation Labor Class, works well, and it picks the labor cost)

I became interested in your question. I interpret the documentation to say that the Use Emloyee Labor Cost in Company Details should be set to FALSE to fetch the Standard Cost from HR. I didn’t have enough HR access to set up a Standard cost to try it, but it said in the documentation that “ If hourly rate/standard cost from HR is not defined, then the primary labor class connected to the employee (Shop Floor Employee per Site) will be used to calculate direct labor cost” and I could conclude that this was happened on my Shop Order. Perhaps you could try to switch the setting to FALSE?

Yes False worked for us as well.
But we also have other processes that require the setting Company Details: Use Emloyee Labor Cost; TRUE.

Ok, since you wrote that “We thought the standrd cost would be picked?” and “Can we have any advice of important settings to chage?“ I got the impression that you had missed that you could not expect the standard cost to be fetched with the parameter Use Employee Labor Cost set to TRUE.

Help text says: Actual Costing Labor Cost Use Employee Labor Cost option in Company Details is selected. If this option is selected, the order of priority when determining the hourly rate would be as follows.
1.Salary based rate
2.Standard rate
3.No rate - This prevents creating project transactions
Running time reprot in CRO or Mainteance with this enableds Picks the Standard Cost.

Hm that is interesting. I referred to the field text in the Shop Floor Reporting settings in Site:
“Direct labor is calculated depending on the selected option. Options are valid when Shop Floor Report setting is set to Employee in Site/Manufacturing/General tab.
Use Employee Cost-Labor hourly rate is taken from Salary History of My Employees Compensation page if "Use Employee Labor Cost" option is selected in Company Details page. Standard cost in HR is taken from Standard Costs page if "Use Employee Labor Cost" option is not selected in Company Details page. If hourly rate/standard cost from HR is not defined, then the primary labor class connected to the employee (Shop Floor Employee per Site) will be used to calculate direct labor cost.
Use Shop Order Operation Labor Class-Cost from shop order operation labor class will be taken to calculate direct labor cost.”
It seems like our two documentation sources are a bit contractionary. Anyway, I was just trying to help.
