We’re investigating if it’s possible to select Shop Orders based on their status for loading into the Advanced Planning Board. Based on the research that we’ve done to date there seems to be no way of doing this within the standard system.
Does anyone have any previous experience in doing this, or have any suggestions of how it could be achieved?

Your observation is correct. There is no way to load the shop orders based on status in APB. The reason behind this might be that adding status-based filtering would introduce complex logic that might conflict with the planner’s goal of seeing the full workload and it also make the scheduling/planning complex as well.
