How can I disable the following options on the Inventory Part In Stock search window:

I don’t believe you can do this for specific windows. For “Show all fields” I don’t think it’s possible at all. Can you explain why you feel the need to disable these?

If you want to disable it globally, you could use these.

It was a request by one of the managers to stop certain users from being able to override the saved search and searchable columns.

Fair enough. I generally tend to argue against restricting users from being creative, as they are the ones actually using the solution and know the ins and outs of the process intimately, and as a result, I’ve seen them end up doing some pretty clever stuff that has ended up benefitting others in the same space.

I have to agree with this completely.  I find the managers know much less about the system setup and use in most cases than the users.  Restricting them from basic searching knowledge really just takes away the power and benefit of having IFS in the first instance.  For some users, maybe they need restrictions or better training, but the users I trust, I try to teach them more ways to use searches, not less.  Plus I’m happy to argue with the managers that they don’t really know what they are asking to be restricted in most cases… :wink:
