We would like to give Project Teams access to specific sub-projects as standard when we create any new project. If you click the ‘Access to New Projects’ box on the Project Teams form, for a specific team, this adds them to the Define Team Access page of the New Project Wizard.

However, this gives them access to all sub-projects within the project. We would like that certain teams only have access to a few of the sub-projects within a project, without having to go into each sub-project and grant them access every time.

We tried creating a template project with the correct access and always copying from that template, however the specific team access does not copy over.

Any thoughts would be welcomed.

Hi,

The application does not have a feature to facilitate it.

For a specific project you could define a project team, where the relevant team members (employees) can be categorized together.

Each Team can be given separate access to each sub-project.

This would help you satisfy your business requirement.

Refer to the below diagram from IFS cloud environment.

Notice several Teams can be linked to a single project and several employees can be categorized under a single team.

This would clarify your questions.

Hi @hwilkie

As @Praveen Wijetunge mentioned, this is not facilitated in the system. I think it would be better if you can raise this as a new Idea, in the Community > Idea section. Hence this might be considered in our future developments.
