Hi,

Do we have any such functionlaity if we have same stock with multiple ownership (like consignment and company owned) so system should reserve the consignment stock first automatically if we do automatic reservation in shop order.

Please confirm.

Thanks

Unfortunately the automatic shop order reservation logic cannot be configured to prioritize stock records based on their ownership.

The shop order reservation follows primarily below hierarchy:

  1. Reserve/Issue from Location (as defined on the product structure component line)
  2. Work Center Inbound Locations (as defined on the work center/locations tab for operation connected material)
  3. Production Line Inbound Locations (as defined on the production line/locations tab for operation connected material)
  4. Floor Stock Locations
  5. Picking Locations

Within each hierarchy level, the logic will use the reservation priority defined for on the Site/Warehouse Management (from apps 10)

So hopefully you can find another way to separate the company owned and consignment stock so that the logic prioritizes the consignment stock over the company owned stock. For instance, connect the locations where the consignment stock is stored as inbound to the work center.

Part availability control might also be an option.

Hi @Björn Hultgren,

Thanks for your reply!

I checked the same what you advised but it seems like if we have received the same part (defined as company owned) from the supplier as company owned on PO and we have the Purchase Order Receipt exist prior to the Purchase Order Receipt for consignment stock of the same part. Then even after adding the consignment location on the work center system is reserving the compnay owned stock first.

I think it is reserving on the basis of FIFO.

Thanks

@imharshit003  That is strange. I tested below in IFS Cloud:

  1. Connected picking Inventory Location A as inbound to the work center which to the material operation which to the material is connected
  2. Received some company owned stock to picking location B
  3. Received some consignment stock into picking location A
  4. Reserved a material line on the shop order. It reserved the consignment stock from location A as expected.

Hi @Björn Hultgren,

Thanks for your reply!

If you dont connect the material with the operation then the system is reserving from the company owned stock.

Thankyou!
