I would like to ask whether it is possible to configure IFS Cloud 24.2.2 so that when manufacturing a new (valid) version of a product, the system automatically considers the new (valid) version of the input component as well.

Currently, we are experiencing an issue where, during the reservation of input components for a Shop Order (setting Reserve/Issue Method is Reserve And Backflush), the system incorrectly reserves an older version of the component (if it is in stock) instead of the currently valid version. Is there a way to adjust this behavior in the system settings?

Thank you for your help and advice.

A revision of a product does not state which revision of the components parts that should be used. If the component part is changed so the new parent revision requires the new version of the component you must change the part number (form, fit or function is changed).

The shop order automatic reservation follows the priority rules defined on the site. So usually the old revision is used up first since it probably have the earliest receipt date.
