Hi Team,

I have transferred an updated EPR Structure to a Manufacturing Structure and set it to Plannable as I always do, but for some strange reason MRP is failing to plan for the child parts. There is significant forecast demand that is appropriately driving demand for other parts in the same parent structure.

Is anyone familiar with this error we are seeing when trying to create a Prototype Shop Order?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Wade

@ConMan At a glance, it seems like the issue is with the available resource capacity of the mentioned work center.

To narrow down the issue:

  1. Try checking the resources attached to the work center (there should be at least one resource connected) and in general if the work center is created with right info and capacity calculated
  2. If you are performing MRP with CRP then do it without CRP and check if you get the error.

Try to narrow it down, difficult to provide an answer without checking the work center and the connected resource availability.

@ConMan Check the run time of this operation. The issue is the operation wants to schedule to end Nov 29 but start on a date prior to the start date of the resource. Often occurs when the routing operation is entered incorrectly, e.g. .0001 Units/Hour should be .0001 Hours/Unit.

In the work center for operation 10, check the start date of the resource. If it does need to exist at an earlier date to permit this operation to be scheduled, create a new record in the table as shown.

Hi @matt.watters,

Thanks so much for your reply, it was indeed the Routing Operation!

A good learning exercise for all involved, we’ve been trying to work it out all week.
