Hello Community,

I have a question regarding the functionality of the Part Eco-footprint module in IFS Cloud (24R2).

Does this module include a tool that can generate data on the total consumption of a specific substance over a given period?

For example:

- Within a manufactured part, various substances are defined, and based on calculations, we obtain the total quantity per substance according to the product structure (I assume, this quantity is per 1 unit of manufactured part)
- This manufactured part is then sold via customer orders (OESHIP transaction), meaning different quantities of the manufactured part are delivered over time.
- Our requirement is some summary value for a specific period (e.g., one month, two months, etc.), showing the total quantities of individual substances delivered within the dispatched quantities of the manufactured item.

Does the Part Eco-footprint module provide this functionality, or is it necessary to create a report (Quick Report, BR, etc.)?

The same logic would be needed for purchased parts, where we need to determine the total quantities of specific substances contained in purchased items that arrived at the company over a given period.

Thank you for any response.

Hello @RoFaSk

We have the Emissions by Period page in Eco Footprint

How to use it?

Well I give you some advice:

  1. You need to run Aggregate inventory transactions per period
  2. You need to setup and calculate your eco-footprint data per part
  3. You must run: Create Eco-footprint History (and it is good if you do this on monthly basis

Then system will bring up values per site, part, statistical period for you.

And it uses the Eco footprint “standard unit calculation values” that was valid during that month.

The underlying view is using total qty that have been RECEIVED during that month and multiplies with the “unit” value for the substance per part, that was valid based on Eco-footprint History that point in time.

Hope you got the basic understanding.

Field descriptions are like: “Accumulated cradle to gate emissions multiplied by total number of received parts during the statistical period.

Hope this helps

-Mats
