DOP enhancements since APPS8

hi, 

yes, actually it was in apps10 that some new things were done for DOPs. so it would be different in app8. 

this is the list of the changes in APP10: 

1. Move reserved material was introduced and that affects DOP

• Possibility to on site level control if and what type of reserved lines that should be allowed to move in inventory
• Possible to move a part from one location to another, even if there are material reservations for the part on the location to move from

Implemented in DOP for

• DOP Temp Inventory Reservations
• DOP Inventory Reservations

2. Redesign DOP Supply Connection

• Possibility to easily review the remaining quantity a supply order is expected to supply a DOP order with
• Scrap and substitute receipt costs from a shop order supplying multiple DOP orders will be distributed to the DOP orders based on the actual quantity delivered to the DOP order
• Parent DOP Quantity Alarms are generated when the quantity required of a DOP supplied shop order material line changes as a result component scrapping or manual changes
• DOP and interim order structure and supply orders are generated considering the scrap factor of the inventory part allowing:
• DOP and interim order costs now includes costs for planned scrap in any level
• DOP alarms are not generated as long as reported scrap is less than the planned scrap

3. DOP enhancements

• Possibility to net DOP orders directly from excess quantities available on shop and purchase orders
  Possibility to re-prioritize a  part quantity from one DOP order to another order by unreserving the temporary inventory
• Possibility to deliver a quantity not required by a parent DOP order, or pegged customer order line to stock
• Possibility to unreceive/cancel receipt of a quantity delivered from a shop / purchase order to a DOP order without unreserving the quantity first
• Possible to use the same flow for handling purchase requisitions from DOP as other requisitions
  Make it possible to follow traditional numbering system for DOP Orders.
• Easier to keep track on DOP Orders and Shop Orders, especially when the amount of orders being handled are very high.

4. DOP Lobby

• Provides a graphical high level view of the current ongoing DOP Orders
• Built-in focus on open items and highlights the most important things to do
• Easy personalization with filters for site, planner and project
• Perspectives to act on, to do and to deliver
• Drill-down from each element to detail information
