Hi Everyone,

When we search for “Manufacturing Structures” via the navigation menu, it is labeled as “Product Structure” on the page. Could someone please explain the reason for this?

Additionally, could you please clarify the difference between a “Manufacturing Structure” and a “Product Structure”?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Best Regards,

Sithari.

The Manufacturing Structure node in the navigator is not a page itself. It rather opens a tree structure that allows you to populate the structure of any part. Depending on the setup of the part the tree may open a Planning Structure, Configuration Structure, Product Structure or Recipe Structure page. This allows you to drill down from any top part all the way through the bottom of the BOM.

To avoid confusion this navigator entry will be renamed to Master Structure in the next IFS Cloud release.

Hi Bjorn,

Thank you for your prompt response.

Best regards,

Sithari.

@Björn Hultgren Thanks for the insight.

When the Navigator entry is not equal to the page name, it is quite confusing. Even the breadcrumb shows the page name which is not correct IMO. Just adding my observation :)
