Have you tried using Migration Tasks or Data Migragion Manager?

Have you tried using Migration Tasks or Data Migragion Manager?

No, we did not try. We managed by manually creating them in the Prod environment from the Configuration environment.

No, we did not try. We managed by manually creating them in the Prod environment from the Configuration environment.

Quite recently, I created migration tasks for moving data from the old system to the new system.

In my experience, the problem is not the number of tables (which translates into the number of tasks) that need to be completed in the right order, but the way in which some objects have implemented the addition of new records or modifications to existing ones.

I plan to return to the topic in the future and build such a solution for everyday use for IFS Cloud.

I’m using DMM to migrate CTO data, and you’re right — we need to migrate tables in the correct order. On top of that, some tables also require record-level ordering during the migration.

For example, CONFIG_COMBO_VALUE must be imported sequentially by COMBINATION_NO. That means I have to filter by combination_no and import batch-by-batch, which is very time-consuming — especially since combination_no can go up to 100.

I’m looking for ways to speed up this process. Has anyone run into similar issues, and if so, what’s the most efficient way to handle it?
