In a MS Level 1 part in Master scheduling After “Run MS – One Part” or per Scheduled Task changes at Forecast 0 or Forecast 1, a necessary recalculation of new forecast is not given.

Would like to know your opinion about this behavior

MS Level 1 part

Run MS-one part – the forecast is converted in fixed proposals

Modify forecast 1 (entered 20 pcs)

No recalculations observed without Run MS-one part

Start MS-one part but no recalculations observed, where a recalculation is expected

However, after changing date of Calculation Date for example to 1/1/21 and recalculating to actual date it works

Hi,

The forecast update is happening within the PTF (Planning Time Fence) so the value in the Master Production Schedule field will not change.

You need to look at the row/date which is the first period beyond the PTF to see the updated proposal (if there is one).

The Action Messages are designed to alert the planner of any changes such as this so that they can then take the appropriate action.

I hope that this helps.

Hi,

I am honestly very surprised and deeply disappointed.

A case to the support I see here as a request to the community and an obvious error, forecast changes so must be recalculated and not simply looked at a PTF, is dismissed with a terse comment.

Where should this still lead?
