Is there a way to supress some of these options in “Shop Floor Workbench” with page designer or another method?  We spent quite a bit of time in the “Dialog” portion of page designer but couldn’t find a way.

We also do not want to use “Shop Floor Reporting User Settings per Site” as it’s to granular and is missing options we’re trying to supress.

Using 24R1 currently.

Yes, it is possible to suppress options in the Shop Floor Workbench using Page Designer, but it requires a specific approach involving Appearance Context Mapping and custom contexts.

Capabilities of Page Designer

According to the IFS Technical Documentation, Page Designer allows you to:

  • Extend page models

  • Add or remove commands

  • Hide or show attributes

  • Create master-detail relationships

However, direct suppression of specific options in Shop Floor Workbench dialogs may not be straightforward unless Appearance Context Mapping is used.

Using Appearance Context Mapping

This method enables you to:

  • Create a tailored view of the Shop Floor Workbench

  • Hide specific fields or options for certain user groups

  • Avoid reliance on the granular “Shop Floor Reporting User Settings per Site”

If you delete unwanted fields from the context in Page Designer but those fields are referenced in mappings, buttons, or commands that the user still needs those commands may no longer function properly. This is a rare but possible scenario.

Limitations

  • You cannot suppress all types of options using Page Designer alone, especially those deeply embedded in dialog logic.

  • Some options may require custom configuration or extensions beyond what Page Designer offers.

Yes you can configure the Approve Operation dialog from the page designer from the address assistant/ReceiveShopOrder/ReceiveShopOrderAssistant
