As far as I know, in IFS Applications 10, auto reservation behavior is influenced by several factors, but part revision is not directly considered by the auto reservation logic itself.

Auto reservation in shop orders depends on the Reserve/Issue Method set on the material line. This controls how materials are reserved or issued automatically. However, there is no mention of part revision being a factor in this logic.

A user working on IFS Apps 10 Update 23 describes auto reservation working based on location and operation setup, but again, no reference to part revision affecting reservation

If process requires auto reservation to consider part revisions (e.g., reserving only matching revision inventory), you might need to:

• Use custom logic or events to enforce revision matching.
• Explore lot/batch tracking if revisions are tied to lot numbers.
• Consider manual reservation rules or inventory part conditions.

IFS APP10 does have revision control in inventory, unfortunatly I don’t see it happens to Auto Reservation, which I think it is a crucial defects to the product. 

In our company, one product, even a purchased part, has multiple revisions, in theory,  reservation should base on the material required date to pick the appropriate part revision and reserve accordingly, APP10 seems not being able to meet this demand.

Do you think IFS Cloud has this control? below is the result from ChatGPT
