Hi All,

I am planning to migrate IFS Business Reports created for Apps 10 to IFS Cloud. Here’s the process I followed so far:

  1. Downloaded all the reports from IFS Apps 10 and saved them on my computer.
  2. Opened the reports in IFS Business Reporter for Cloud and attempted to save them.

However, I encountered the following error during this process:

I would appreciate it if you could help me resolve this issue. Additionally, I would like to confirm if this approach for migrating reports is correct, or if there’s a better way to proceed.

Thank you for your support!

Deepal.

Hi,

Have you tried to use FS Business Reporter Report Upgrade Utility?

Hope this helps,

Asanka

Hi,

IFS Business Reporter temporarily saves a copy of the report in the computer's TEMP folder before saving the report to the database.

In your case, it seems that Business Reporter does not have write access to the TEMP folder. Ideally, you should see a Folder Selection dialog after encountering this error message. When the dialog appears, select a folder where you have write access.

Once you make this selection, Business Reporter will remember it and use the chosen folder to save temporary files in the future.

Hi Asanka,

Where does the upgrade utility reside as I can’t find any trace of it in our system ?

HI @darylslinn ,

Please refer this article to know more about BR Report Upgrade Utility. It comes with the BR Installation. You can access it from the Windows Program Menu.

https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/24r2/070_remote_deploy/400_installation_options/007_br_and_a/010_ifs_business_reporter/050_br_report_upgrade_utility/

Its good to upgrade the reports as well. But the specific error you have mentioned above is related to access to the TEMP folder.
