In IFS Cloud, what is the best way to prevent employees from clocking in as other employees?

They will be using a time clock terminal. The terminal itself has access to all employees in the company, so they are all available in dropdown when an employee enters their ID with the keypad.

The only thing I have come up with is to remove the keypad and have users swipe a card.

Is there another way to accomplish this?

@MELuther ,

We are using a card swipe at time clocks.  We though about about bio reader or facial reader but felt card swipe was easiest and most reliable.  We haven't had any instant of employees using another badge to clock in because they also need the badge to navigate through doors.

Hi,

One option is also to remove the LOV for employee numbers, then employees must remember their employee number - or use a card.

If you are on IFS Cloud you can hide LOVs in all dialogues (In Time Clock Terminals where you connect the users to a terminal) , but then you also remove the LOV for absence codes.. and you might want to keep them.

But you can also just remove in specific dialogues

You do this in “Time Clock Details Item page” -  there is a check box for each field on each dialogue

@william.klotz Hi William… Would you be kind enough to share what specific swipe scanner you’re using, as well as the type of card you’re using? I’m currently looking into outfitting our shop floor with said technology.

Looking for some more information on this. Is there a specific guide from IFS that’s being followed to configure the badge scanning?

Thanks,

Dan
