I’ve used the Person ID of our payroll officer to grant them access to employees outside their employing company, to be able to authorize time and transfer to our payroll software. i.e. employee in Company ABC, but needs to authorize time in Company XYZ.

The user is able to view the time registration/employee in the Authorization screeen, but is receiving an error message ‘Access Denied. You cannot authorize records within Time Pers Diary logical unit’ after attempting to authorize.

Any ideas what is missing?

We don’t know what kind of permission he has.

Thanks @PaulinaPi - it wasn’t a permission issue, as the employee can authorize time in other companies. It’s working now, it was just an issue with the level of the org the position access was granted at within supervisor access.

@PennyB I am also having the same issue, can you please suggest me the steps how exactly you resolved this ?

Did anyone recommendation on how to do this?  I need a have a manager be able to authorize timecards for employees in other companies.

@ddecker - it’s been a while since I looked at this, but from memory it was about getting the settings right in ‘Supervisor Access Setup’  ‘Access Setup’ tabfor the relevant person - ensuring they are linked to the right structure/business unit/org code level/role id (controls the ability to authorize time) and tick ‘include subordinates’ then check the relevant employees appear on the ‘Supervised Employees’ tab.
