The Employee Schedule is defined for 8.5 hours per day, yet we have a requirement to set the maximum time for an absence per day to 8 hours. So, we have defined an absence type to allow only 8 hours of maximum hours per day.
When we try to register an absence for a day with mentioning the ‘Default hours per day’ for more than 8 hours it gives an error message ‘Maximum Hours Per Day is 8’
Yet, when we try to register an absence for a day without mentioning the ‘Default hours Per day’ it registers the absence for 8.5 hours.
What are the settings which we need to define further to limit this absence only to 8 hours for a day?
