What is the purpose of the data in the screen Project Management/Basic Data/Pricing/Internal Price on the Employee Price tab?

This information is also available on Human Resources/Employee Management/Employment/Standard Costs.

Are these values ONLY used when reporting time on Projects?  Is there any other use for them in the system?  We don’t report time on Projects, but we have hourly employee payrates listed here. I’m trying to figure out why they were entered here in the first place.

Hi Laura,

The purpose of entering data into “Standard Cost” in IFS HCM, is for it to be used by the IFS Project Module. As Marcel showed in his answer there is a priority, where the data in HCM is first (if HCM data exists). Thus, this is a question of which module should be in control of the Employee’s pricing in Project. Should HR or Project be responsible for the maintenance of the data? Some customers might not run IFS HCM and therefore there must be the option of adding the data for the same purpose in multiple places.

Regards,
Magnus
