We are experiencing problems with the IFS Time Clock Client.

A few of our users have

reported seeing the following message when they went to the Time Clock Terminal

System Exception Error

object reference not set to an instance of an object

Ifs.Fnd.AccessProvider.PLSQL.FndPLSQLSelectCommandReader.get_count()

At

Ifs.Fnd.AccessProvider.PLSQL.FndPLSQLSelectCommandReader.FndPLSQLSelectCommandReaderEnumerator.System.Collections.IEnumerator.MoveNext()

We stopped Automatic Windows Updates months ago as we thought that this could have been the issue.

Any ideas would be gratefully received.

Hi @johnw66,

Have you managed to resolve this issue?

There is an Apps10 UPD 6 patch (149047) available for this issue. Please verify this by sending a case to IFS SUPPORT.

Hi @johnw66,

Could you please check the below as well?

  1. Check whether the users who encounter the user are time clock users and whether they have the employee card parameters set as required?

  1. If the above is done, check if the time clock object is card driven and if the same user gets the below error message in the time clock window.

    1. If the users get the ‘object reference not set to an instance of an object’ error after clicking on ‘ok’ for the above error. Then again the bug fix suggested in the above comment should resolve it.

      If you are using APP09, the bug fix will be available in UPD15 and if you’re using APP10 the bug fix will be available in UPD6.

      If you need it urgently then kindly report a case to IFS Support.

      Best Regards,
      Thanushi
