HCM: Update Time transactions when restructuring organization units

Hi,

I was wondering if there exist a solution for the following case:

A customer is having several organizational changes for the 01.01.2024. Unfortunately, this is the time most employees have entered their absences for the holidays. All absences for 2024 are connected to the old Org Code.

Is there a way to update those absences at once? Or do I have to cancel and recreate the absences individually?

Thanks for your feedback!

KR,
Anny

Hi Anny,

If the absence is already in the time report you can you in to overview Intervals (or results if you run result based) and remove all organization units. When you save the system fetched the correct org unit by default.

Maria

Hi Maria,

Thanks, I forgot about this… 😀
The issues I had with another customer with this solution were, that this option split the absence period into days in the view Absence and disconnected the Absence Request. I understand the thought behind the unlinked Absence Request. However, if the employee took 2 weeks of vacation, the system will split the absence into 14 entries in the view Absence - which can be confusing for the end user…

Well, in the end it works. So, thank you!
