Hi,

Does anybody have any documentation as to what Employee Self-service actually includes?

Background: we looked at the employee web client in 7.5 but never did anything with it.

We now have Apps 9 and we are looking for a solution where employees can update personal data, view payslips etc.. but I can’t find any information/screen shots of what “Employee Self-Service” actually can do. Also does it require a full IFS license or a LTU licence?

Can employees access from a website or do they need to be logged onto the company network? Is this available through an app on mobiles so that they can update it themselves.

We are also investigating upgrading so feedback from Apps 9 or 10 would be great.

Thanks

Hi,

As this post is from October 2020 I hope you got some information and material as helped you with this. Is it like that?

Hi @Helen Smith ,

The self service functionality is a complete manager and employee self-service tool that ensures high data quality and employee involvement. Managers perform HR-related tasks through pages that are designed to match their needs. Employees update their own employee data, apply for leave, internal job opportunities, etc.

The employee self-service functionality will depend on the permission sets/access setups you have given for your employees. Further, w
hat do you need employees to see, and what do you need employees to do in Apps 10?

Examples- Time card? Absence requests? Balances? Expense reporting?

It can enable the employees to perform the above activities while the manager (via the manager self-service) authorize and approve them.

Best Regards,
Thanushi
