Hi!

We are on IFS Cloud 22R1 SU12 and have performance problems in many parts of the system. We see issues in quite a lot of screens when searching for data. The volumes are not super big, but we have records from the 10 000 to 200 000, which from a database perspective is not huge.

Has anyone tried out enabling the Oracle In-Memory capabilities for IFS and what approach have you taken when implementing it?

We just went live last week - 22R1 SU11.  Getting some reports of performance issues - and same issue - our record sizes are not massive - 90K parts, and we did not migrate in transactional history.

Performance should feel fast across the board but finding this is not the case.

We are running IFS Cloud “In the cloud” so we don't have any access to see the oracle settings.

FYI - In-Memory is not currently on the agenda at RnD.

Not at all sure if this is related:
In some production environments there is a big performance improvement on many SQL’s when disabling Oracle parallel execution - seems the Oracle parallel execution find it hard to sync the query jobs as IFS has complex SQL’s and underlying data is moving a lot (OLTP DB). Parallel execution probably works better in a Data Warehouse DB.

parallel_min_servers=0

parallel_max_servers=0

Are you running on a Remote or IFS Managed service?

We are running the IFS Managed Service
