Hi community,  in Apps 9 users would get a popup when there user account was almost expired and in grace period.

Now, in Apps 10, users do not get any message.  The setup of the profile is the same.

Does anyone know how to get the message popup for users when their account is about to expire ?

Thanks in advance.

@Adriaan

Although the feature was there in the older release, with the new authentication implementation in IFS Applications 10, this feature needs to be implemented as a new feature. So there's really no workaround for this unless that feature is implemented.

This is already identified and added to the backlog to implement that with the next updates. This fix will need to have changes in both mws and jsf binaries. This will be fixed in UPD 11 MWS and JSF releases."

This is actually caused by a design change in APP10. As we have been informed by our R&D, the entire authentication solution is different between 9 and 10. The mechanism that was used to display the warning message in Apps 9 is removed by design. The very same login screen that denies access on the basis of credentials being expired also lets you update the credentials if they are expired. As such, this is not a bug in Apps 10. The mechanism is simply different. So there is no warning or information regarding the password expiration in Application 10 and the user has to change the password.

Hello Charith,  thank you for your quick and explaining answer.

Unfortunately, in my opinion this is another mistake the Dev teams from IFS make. Instead of improving and expanding functionality, they rip out basic functions all customers/users need :(

Hi Charith

It was requested nearly one year ago but still not corrected. This is not good.
