Is is mandatory to have the application server in a domain to install SSL certificate in Apps9 Application server.?

SSL certificate is mandatory from Apps 10 onwards and optional for Apps 9. You can uncheck the box in the configuration screen and it will let you proceed with a warning.

If it should be exposed from outside without a gateway of some sort it is highly recommended.

The question is that if SSL is to be installed in Apps9 Application server and there is no load balancer OR proxy server, it is possible to configure SSL. The server is also not on a domain but a workgroup. Out of all this what is a mandatory requiremnt for SSL installation (server should be on a domain OR needs a PRoxy OR needs a load balancer).

Hi @envkavita ,

You can still configure SSL in Apps9 pretty similar to the way that you do in Apps 10. Only different is that the installer options for this in Apps 9 are in different  pages compared to Apps10 which has made the installer more intuitive.

What you would need to do in a non-domain machine would be to make sure that the certificate that you have matches the URL header
