Hello,

We are using Apps 8 and we have some users requesting to view the date AND time in specific date fields in IFS.

When you query the view used by the screen in Oracle it holds the date and time in the field, but when you view via the client the time aspect is removed.

Does anyone know how you can ensure the time is shown as well as the date to the users?

Regards

Shaun

@SHAUN_KERSLAKE ,

Are there any specific forms for this requirement?

In most cases client form will format the returned value. That should be why your time is truncated. But there are other forms that will require the time field as well. However that depends on the underline form you are testing this. If the underline form allows date time you may set a template to insert it from the options dialog.

@Minoshini Fonseka The specific question has been asked for the NCR Date created field to show the date and time on the NCR Correction Actions screen (Quality Management->Quality Assurance-Non Conformance Report →  NCR Correction Actions)

This is only showing the date currently but in the database the time is stored alongside it.

I raised this with IFS Support and their response to this was:

This is the behavior of our most up to date version of Apps 8. Hence this needs to be handled as a customization request which will be handled by the consulting team.

So unfortunately this doesn't seem possible through the client!

If you have the data in the database, can you not create a custom field to display the full value?
