Hi,

I have a question regarding hotkeys. Is it possible to create a custom hotkey directly in the IEE client, or is it only possible to do so via a third party tool e.g., like autohotkey?

I have a customer who would like to create a custom hotkey in order to start a specific action in the the system.

Best regards,

Tomas Somi

With a customization, possibly of the IEE client framework, we should be able to add a custom keyboard shortcut without external tools, but that might not be something for the faint-hearted 🙂

It's probably easier to do it with a tool like AutoHotkey.

In some screens, like in the one below, a user can simply activate the View button by pressing Alt+v on their keyboard (note the underlined letter V in the View button there). This avoids the need for a custom keyboard shortcut.

In what screen in IEE do they want this and what action/command do they want to activate? Perhaps it can already be done easily.
