Search and Filter Intermittently Stops Working 25R1 SU6

Dear community, 

We have recently installed 25R1  SU6 - as it resolved a critical error introduced in earlier release, however, we have noted a general slowness, and recurrent occasions where the filter and search buttons simply do nothing. 

When checking the DevTools, we can see that a SetClientEntry is happening when the button is pressed, but the search is not initiated. The only way to resolve it is to navigate to another page and then back to the original page, or refresh the browser. 

It is having a large negative impact on our operations. 

Has anyone seen this before?

I have come across similar issues with 25R1 SU6 and search functionality. There are an issue with searching that , from my knowledge, should be addressed in 25R1 SU7.

SU7 was released the 18 December and the fix is in the framework which means that you do not need to take SU7 in the application, only make a delivery after 18th December.

To verify that you are still on framework version SU6 you can do following:

In the top right corner click on your initials and choose “Account Settings”.

 

I would suggest creating a support issue for this to investigate if you have the same issue or something else.

 

Then you scroll down a bit and check the framework version. Here is what it looks like in an 25R1 SU6 environment after a delivery at or after 18th December:
You see that the application level is still SU6 but the framework is upgraded to SU7, which is backwards compatible application version SU6 etc.

 

I would suggest creating a support case to investigate.

Hi ​@david.harmer ,

We have been experiencing the same issue. We initially thought (and still do) it is related to bookmarks: if a window is opened from a bookmark then the search button does not work.

I have not found any existing case in the IFS support, but we claimed the issue to our partner.

We are experiencing what seems to be the exact same issue with 24R2.

Thanks both ​@Guzik and ​@Tomas Ruderfelt . I’ll look to get the framework done in our test system to see if it resolves the issue. 

@Guzik - we also strongly believe that it is related to bookmarks, however some users have reported same issues when using the menu to navigate - but I have not witnessed it first hand.

I appreciate hearing back - sometimes you think you are the only one!!

Hi ​@Tomas Ruderfelt - I can confirm updating the framework to 25.1.7 resolved the issue. 

@MDGLBURNS - I would recommend that you raise a case with IFS and get them to investigate and refer to the fix in the 25.1.7 framework., good luck!
