Hello everyone,
I'm trying to use the new "Scan New Contact" tool but as soon as I import the business card I get this error:


I've seen in the online documentation that you need to configure PSO to use the feature, but I can't.

I have the same issue with the exact same error message;

I get the same above issue in 24R2 installations (OCR scan in Quotations)… is this part of a configuration?

Appreciate if someone from RnD can look in to this issue now being posted for 10 months...

Is there any update on this feature? I tried in in 24r2 still I am getting the error

No we haven’t okay that may be the reason and also we are on on premise so I think it won’t work for 24r2?

Features like this does not come by default with IFS Cloud 24R2 general application. You have to purchase the IFS AI subscription in order to use such AI and Machine Learning related functions. It includes IFS co-pilot, features such as scan new contact, scan customer order etc.

If possible kindly mark this as the best answer if this matches your scenario. It would benefit other users as well : )

Thanks for the info Uvina, I think better to mention that until 25r1 we cant use any AI features on , “On Prem Installations

No worries. This is a common error message and in most of the scenarios, users get this when they have not purchased the IFS AI subscription. Most of the time users think that the AI features are enabled in the core product by default and they think that they get this error message due to a system defect or a configuration issue.

This is because may be in IFS Connect 2023 they mentioned it will be included in the the product itself then IFS change the Plans and not communicated well
