Hello,

Why is there no SQL query tool functionality in Cloud?
This allowed us to quickly find user errors or check a quick report.
Will query tool be added in Cloud?

Query Designer is available in IFS Cloud an should fit your needs..

 

 

You can use other powerfull tools like DBeaver as well. ;-)

Query Designer does not work like the query creation field in IFS 9, here the action is limited.

It will make our work difficult in company. Why was it changed? :(

yes, work with IFS Cloud is complicated…

  • Query Designer
    • Only entities with configured RowSecurity are allowed to use
    • only few lines preview…
    • limitated joins
  • Quick Reports
    • no table access

For same functionality you need to use database directly:

  • On Premise
    • use direct database access
  • IFS Cloud SaaS
    • purchase VPN tunnel
    • ask for DB TNS via CSM
    • request IFSREADONLY credentials from CSM
