In Auren the client doesn't
The search option always starts empty

In Cloud, you have the option to use the previous search. Maybe they added it to cloud (later versions in Aurena) when they identified this as a useful feature.

Hi! Have you tried the Search Settings? It’s in the Settings option menu.
