Question

Page and Navigator Designer in IFS Cloud

Forum|alt.badge.img+8

Hello,

We are adjusting IFS Cloud pages layouts for the customer.

Maybe somebody could help to understand:

  1. Is it possible to hide such assistances and functions in the page, if they are not needed for the customer? I cannot find how to do it via Page Designer - cannot find Command Groups for the tabs:
  1. Aso, when I am hiding some page navigator issues in the context, save them, and when connecting with the user who use the same context, the user doesn’t see navigator changes.

Changes that are made in the page “Supplier” navigator on the certain context:

But when connecting with the other user, who uses the same context, he doesn’t see those changes. He sees this:

Changes were saved and published.

Hi @Lina Menciene,

For the first point, Please check the following steps to find the Supply Chain Matrix for Supplier command and hide it.

  1. Open Page Designer for Supplier screen and expand All Elements node and then Commands node.

  1. Find command Supplier Address Singleton Supply Chain Matrix for Supplier Command and set visible property to false.

This way, you can hide other tabs’ commands as well.

For the second point, I tested it with your test plan, and it is working fine with other users as well. Please try again after clearing the Mapping Cache and relogging with another user.

Hope this will help.

Abdul Rehman

Hi, Abdul,

thank you for the quick answer!!!!!

With the first issue I succeeded.:) Thanks a lot!!!!

But still cannot succeed with the navigator issue.

I see that Navigator Configurations are published and Synchronized:

and the user who made this configuration on the certain context doesn’t see hidden pages in navigator:

All other users are assigned to context AG. Ant the other user in the same context still see the pages that are hidden in that context:

I do not understand how it happens.:)

Rukmal Fernando,

Yes, sure.

Context AG is mapped to the users that are assigned to certain company:

Navigator changes with Navigator Designer are made on context AG, they are published and synchronized:

I am connecting with the user who is assigned to that company:

And still see the navigator without changes:

Hi @Lina Menciene,

Let’s check whether Context AG is assigned to user DEMO.

  1. Open the Page Designer for Supplier screen with user DEMO.
  2. Check the Context with which the system opens the Page Designer. Whether it is Global context or AG.

If it is Global, then the issue is with the Configuration Context Mappings.

Hi, Abdul

It is assigned to context AG:

@Lina Menciene I’m not an expert on this specific area, but the Navigator Designer applies primarily to what you see  from the Navigation Menu (the icon with the three horizontal lines). Do the hidden items show there?

The highlighted area from your screenshot shows the Supplier card, which I believe does not reflect the Navigator Designer changes.

Best regards,

Rukmal

Rukmal Fernando

I just found 4 year old case that announces that changes of navigator tree nodes in the pages with navigator doesn’t exist:)

Aurena Page Configurations | IFS Community

Page designer doesn’t allow any changes in navigator tree nodes.

With Navigator Designer seemed possible, but only for the certain user who did it. How I found out, other do not see those changes:)

Thanks for your time helping to understand the issue!!!!!

Hi @Lina Menciene,

It is a bit strange that two users connected with the same context have different screen layouts. It might be possible that we are missing some dots, and IFS R&D can put some light.

Anyway, let's do one last try, please make your changes in the Global context once and then check application behaviour.

Hi, Abdul,

In Global everything seems OK. It is just one tricky place, that in Global context in application navigator there are hidden 2 nodes of Supplier in Enterprice:

Bu it is what I see when connecting to the other user with AG context on which also the changes are made:

O see changes in context, but not in the page.

But what I received when trying to open Navigator Designer with the other user and to see which context is used:

The user is assigned AG context, but as I understand some context conflict appears.

User is assigned to the certain company and should be used AG context for him:

But somehow Global context goes on top when opening the form.
