Dear all

Please can anyone tell me, why the following issue could have occured?

A customer of ours has two environments, one is OnPrem, the other is hosted on the Cloud. Both are the same Application versions, Apps 10 Update 8.

Yet there has one specific LU been identified, where no Custom Fields could be created. Then we looked into the LU itself, follwing the path: Solution Manager > System and Utilities > Logical Units > Logical Unit.

There we have found that this specific LU CustomerOrderInvItem differs between the both environments.

Cloud
OnPremise

The OnPrem environment is host for “Custom Fields” and has the “RowKey activated”. The Cloud environment isn’t at all, which prevents us from creating Custom Fields.

  1. What’s the risk of enabling it and does it have any impact now? Is there anything that needs to be paid attention to, before activating the flags?
  2. What could be the reason, that it differs on both environments? Can it be related to modifications?

Looking forward for your answers.

Best regards:

Marko

Hi @Marko,

“Rowkey Activated” check box becomes checked when the rowkey is activated for that particular LU. And if I remember correct, in IFSAPP10, you cannot activate or deactivate the rowkey from IEE. But you can try if you can do that by doing an RMB and selecting “Activate Rowkey”.

“Custom Fields” check box gets automatically checked when there is at least one custom field for that particular LU.

Please refer to following documentation regarding activating the rowkey.

https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/foundation1/040_administration/300_system_information/010_logical_units/enable_and_disable_rowkey.htm

Hope this helps!
