Inventory Part Availability Planning Performance Issue
We are on IFS Apps 10. When we run a simple query for one part number on the Inventory Part Availability Planning screen the system takes approximately 30 minutes to return data. Often the query will seem to time out and return Request Aborted. We do not fund any similar issues on any other areas of the system. Queries and reports are running efficiently. Has anyone came across this issue or have any suggestions as to what might be causing it

If you are in a heavy project-based environment, not using a qualifier in the Project ID field when searching will task the system with returning data for this part number for each Project ID in the system, regardless if the part number(s) is associated with any of these projects.
Recommend using ‘#’ in the Project ID to see the situation summarized for this part number across standard inventory and all project inventory or ‘*’ to see the situation summarized for this part number across only standard inventory.
Project ID:
The project ID used to identify parts belonging to project inventory. If ' * ' is displayed, it indicates that the parts belong to the standard inventory. If '#' is displayed, it indicates that the rest of the information in this window is collected from non-project-related stock, supplies and demands as well as all project related stock, supplies and demands regardless of the project ID.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this Matt. We will take this and review internally to verify.
Interestingly what we find is if we run a standard query on part no alone, then count hits. The system instantly returns a result confirming one record will be returned. However when we actually attempt to fetch the data the query will run for about 30 minutes
