IFSCONNECT & IFSINFO System Accounts

Forum|alt.badge.img+10

Is there any impact to Apps10 if we change the password on the IFSCONNECT and IFSINFO system accounts.

or

Can they be disabled.

Hi @smelanson,

Since these are IFS system accounts, they need to be active at all times. Otherwise they may cause problems. IFSINFO is used in the Information Access Layer while IFSCONNECT is used for IFS Connect related functionality.

You can however change their passwords.

Hope this helps!

Hi! There are some different ways to change them, but the best/easiest might be the gui in Enterprise Explorer - Solution Manager - Security - Oracle Users and RMB ‘Change Password’

Can someone please provide some detail on the ‘related functionality’ that IFS Connect would use?

Hi @smelanson,

IFSCONNECT user is related to the IFS Connect functionality. IFS Connect is an integration broker that can be used to facilitate integration of business logic with external business processes, applications, and devices. You can find the documentation here:

https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/foundation1/010_overview/240_integration/060_connect/default.htm

Hope this helps!
