We run IFS Apps 10 and have the IFS EE Link Handler Chrome extension installed on each computer. This morning, we’ve had users that are unable to get into IFS. If you go to the web store to view the extension, you’ll see the following error:

This extension may soon no longer be supported because it doesn't follow best practices for Chrome extensions.

Has anyone else noticed this? Without this extension our 500 users will be unable to access the application. For reference, all computers noticing this issue are on the most recent Chrome version as of today and we have advised a reboot with no success - 131.0.6778.205.

Your users may need to switch to Edge.

Read the PDF in the post as it explains why Chrome is not supporting it.  For now it looks like IFS recommends switching to Edge browser.  Chrome must have turned the extension off with the latest update.  Won’t be the first time Chrome breaks something.

Also we’ve worked around it by going into Extensions in Chrome, clicking on the 3 dots by the IFS EE Link Handler Extension and choosing Keep for now.  Although eventually that probably won’t work either.  In which case Edge will be the only option.

It still works if you enable one flag and disable other three. Go to chrome://flags/ and type manifest in the search bar.

In the meanwhile there is a new version of the extension and handler.
You can find all necessary information and links in KB article KB0080331:

Same issue here (IFS Apps10 UPD 22) and we followed the install directions above for the new version of the extension and msi files.  It works in Chrome again now, but unfortunately, the IFS app landing page icons still look like they won’t work (even though they do).  Has anyone figured out how to make the icons look normal again (without the red warning text)?
