I have a need to create IFS user with Read-Only to everything. Is it as simple as creating a new permission set? How can I give access and make sure the user can’t make any transactions? What about FND_ENDUSER permission set which every user is assigned?

Thank you,

Hi @arebbeadle - As you’re already aware security is assigned to Permission Sets, not directly to users in IFS.

To create a full Read Only role, here are the steps:

  1. Under Solution Manager → Security → Permission Sets → Create a New Permission Set
  2. RMB on IFS Applications under Presentation Objects by Naviagtor tab and Grant Query All
  3. This should take some time as there are lots of objects.

  4. You can now grant users who need full Read Only access the new role.

Good luck!

Hello @arebbeadle
I hope you are doing well. I like your question.
However, you wrote, “I have a need to create IFS user with Read-Only to everything.” Do you mean the entire application? Or to specific modules?
Thanks,
JL
