Error 0x800736b3

Hello to everyone!

Recently, some pcs in the company where I work started to give us the error 0x800736b3 when We tried to start the application. Do you know what is it? How to fix it? 

 

This is exactly the error that ifs throw:

DETALLES DEL ERROR
    

The following errors were detected during this operation:    * [22/8/2023 09:13:28] System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException        - The referred assembly is not installed on your system. (Exception of HRESULT: 0x800736B3)        - Origin: System.Deployment

can you provide more details on this ? like what version you are using ? is it Apps 9/10 or IFS cloud ?

if the version is apps 10, did you try  deleting the 2.0 temp folder and try to re start the application ?

 

first close all the running IFS instances in the machine and then shift+delete the 2.0 folder 

 

you can find the above folder in blow location in case if this is apps 10

 

C:\Users\<<User name>>\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0  (if you cannot see the appData folder you need to check show hidden folders in the file explore)

can you provide more details on this ? like what version you are using ? is it Apps 9/10 or IFS cloud ?

if the version is apps 10, did you try  deleting the 2.0 temp folder and try to re start the application ?

 

first close all the running IFS instances in the machine and then shift+delete the 2.0 folder 

 

you can find the above folder in blow location in case if this is apps 10

 

C:\Users\<<User name>>\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0  (if you cannot see the appData folder you need to check show hidden folders in the file explore)

Do you know why this happen? I would like to foresee to the error

@thomas777  Seems like someone might have canceled the  window while downloading the DLL into this temporary folder. IFS uses the dlls in this folder to faster access into the application forms. if those are currented these kind of error happens.

 

by deleteing the folder, IFS will freshly download the dlls into the temporary folder :)

 

that could be one of  many reasons for this scenario.
